Therefore, the weighted blanket suits ideally if you have sleeping problems caused by a general feeling of anxiety and stress as it lowers the heart rate to fall asleep more easily.

Is it suitable for my body weight?

The weight of the weighted blanket should be 8 to 10% of your body weight. This weighted blanket is suitable for adults weighing between 55 and 80 kg.

We wouldn’t recommend using our weighted blanket for babies or small children as it might be too heavy for them.

Can I wash the blanket?

Accepted Answer

The blanket is designed to be machine washable, however, its weight exceeds the household washing machine limit. We recommend you use a blanket cover instead, or hand wash when your washing machine has a weight limit.

Sure. There is no defined way to use a weighted blanket. You can put it under your normal duvet, on top of your duvet or without your duvet. In any case, whenever you want.

Prolong your sleep and increase sleep efficacy.

Existing data on the benefits of weighted blankets in healthy adults is limited. Still, one study has found that when using a weighted blanket, 60% of patients fell asleep faster, 40% of patients slept longer, 50% of patients had increased sleep efficacy, and 40% of participants snored less (Stevens & Roby, 2019).

Combat anxiety and insomnia.

Most studies using weighted blankets are carried out on individuals with anxiety, depression, or insomnia. Studies have demonstrated that weighted blankets can relieve self-reported stress and reduce anxiety’s pulse rate (Becklund & Nudo, 2021). These blankets decrease insomnia and help prevent night movements (Ackerley et al., 2015).
