Emma Original Topper

A topper acts like an increase in the adaptable layers of the mattress, provides better relief for the body, and prolongs the life of your mattress. Not to mention it will keep your mattress clean and it's a cost-efficient means to upgrade your sleep quality.

You can also boost your deep sleep with our Premium Topper. The graphite helps your body reach the ideal sleeping temperature, of around 35.5ºC faster, improving the quality of your sleep in the long run.

With two individual mattresses, the topper is also excellent for eliminating the unloved "visitor's crevice".

If your mattress is still relatively new but you feel like it's a little too firm, then a topper can be a solution for that. The complementary layers allow your shoulders to sink in better and you immediately feel the pressure relief once you lay on it.

If your mattress shows signs of wear, such as a hollow, the topper is of no use. The topper would adapt to the base of the hollow and would not have enough support to solve this problem. In this case, we'd recommend replacing the mattress.

The most obvious difference is height. The Original Topper is 6cm while the Original Pro Topper is 9cm.

The Original Topper is a reversible topper in the entry-level price range, with two lying sides of different firmness. The benefit for you is that you can turn the topper at any time and adjust it to your needs or preferences. The different layers of Airgocell foam and HRX foam guarantee either a soft or firmer lying position.

The Original Pro Topper is a topper with a layer consisting of millions of tiny graphite particles that help you reach the ideal sleeping temperature in record time. Comparing the two toppers, the Original Pro Topper is more supportive and gives enough room to adapt to different body types and sleeping positions. As an added bonus, the underside of the Original Pro Topper is also equipped with an anti-slip coating.

Yes, because like a house, the mattress forms the foundation. Depending on the foundation, the lying properties also change. If the mattress is too firm, the topper helps you lie more comfortably. If you already have your perfect mattress, the topper could potentially have a negative effect, because the shoulder or pelvic area may sink too deeply into the sleep system.

This depends more on the material and less on the topper itself. The Emma Original Pro Topper, for example, has heat-conducting properties that help the body reach the ideal sleeping temperature in the shortest possible time.

Toppers made of Airgocell foam, such as the Original Topper, also reduce increased sweating because of their open pores. The materials have a restoring force and so the body is not so strongly absorbed by the sleep system.

Viscoelastic foam is an exception to this rule. This foam reacts not only to pressure, but also to heat which makes it more elastic. Due to the high density of viscoelastic foam, you would sleep hotter on a topper made of pure visco foam.

We recommend using a topper with a Boxspring Bed. They have a firmer structure compared to conventional systems of a slatted frame and mattress, so in order to achieve the ideal point elasticity and really get the hotel feeling of the Ottoman Bed, a topper is indispensable.

A topper is usually only a fraction of the height of a mattress. This means that a topper cannot replace a mattress, but instead complements it.

Emma mattresses are constructed in a way that provides support in the lower layers through the use of springs or HRX foam, while the upper layers are made with elastic materials such as Airgocell foam to relieve pressure.

Our toppers are mostly made of the latter materials on the surface. This improves the pressure-relieving properties and supplements them with other elements such as improving deep sleep. A topper cannot replace a good mattress, but it can improve it by prolonging the mattress lifespan and keeping it clean.

It depends. Our toppers are developed to complement the benefits of a mattress. However, it's important to note that not all combinations can be effective to have a topper. For example, the Original Pro Topper would be a perfect fit if your mattress doesn't have any temperature regulation features or lacks support. The Original Topper is recommended for people who are unsure which hardness is better for their sleep, allowing them to customize it based on preference.

The Emma Original Topper fits all mattresses and is developed to give full body support, keeping your spine aligned no matter what position you sleep in. The topper adapts to pressure and responds to body movement to give you the ideal comfort during sleep. It's also high point elastic, which means that the supportive bottom layer helps the body move effortlessly, requiring less strength and effort to turn over while sleeping.
